How do I purchase tickets for an event?
How much do tickets cost?
Because production costs are different for each performance, ticket costs may vary. Ticket costs will be announced on our website 1-3 weeks prior to each show.
What type of payment do you take for ticket sales?
- Online sales through TicketPeak: Credit or debit card
- At the box office: Cash, check, Venmo or PayPal. We do not accept credit or debit card payments at this time.
Are seats assigned with ticket purchase?
No, all Masquerade Theatre performances are open seating.
Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?
Yes, all patrons regardless of age must have a ticket. Due to fire regulations, Masquerade Theatre has capacity limits and must have an accurate count of individuals present in the theatre in case of an emergency. We strongly recommend children attending events be at least 5 years of age, unless the shows are designated as toddler friendly. Some shows contain mature content, language or themes. See the individual show pages for content advisories. Please note, in order to assure the best possible experience for all patrons, anyone making a disturbance during a show will be asked to leave – no matter their age.
Do you offer season tickets?
Season tickets are not available.
When is the box office open?
The box office is only open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
Is the Theatre wheelchair accessible?
Yes, a number of accessible seats are available for patrons requiring wheelchairs. Please contact us at [email protected] prior to attending a show to let us know you will need accessible seating.
Do you offer any other ADA services?
Yes, we offer assistive listening devices. Please contact us at [email protected] ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly.

Where is Masquerade Theatre located?
We are located inside the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Union City, Tennessee. The driving address is 120 S 1st St, Union City, TN.
Where do I park?
Free parking is available in front of the theatre along the street in downtown Union City.
Can I rent the Theatre for public and private events?
Yes, please email us at [email protected] and provide as much information about your event as possible. We will contact you with more information.
What type of events can you accommodate?
We have rented our venue for events ranging from pageants, weddings, theatre and musical performances and more. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
How many shows do you perform each year?
Masquerade Theatre typically performs six shows per year, with additional shows produced by local high schools.
What time do the doors open for each performance?
Typically the doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime. Once inside, please do not enter the house (aka seating area) until given the ok.
Who can audition?
All members of the community are encouraged to audition. Audition notices will be posted on our Facebook page and will provide more detailed information regarding age ranges and audition dates.
What can I expect at an audition?
Persons auditioning may be asked to read from a script, dance and/or sing a song depending on the nature of each production. Detailed audition information will be posted on our Facebook page.
What is the capacity for seating at the Masquerade Theatre?
The theatre can seat approximately 350 people.
Are there restrooms available?
Yes, there are restrooms available in the front lobby of the theatre.
Can I take pictures, record audio or video a performance?
Photography, video and audio recording of any kind is strictly prohibited due to copyright laws.
Can I bring my own food/drink?
No outside food or drink is allowed.
Are concessions available?
Depending on the length of the performance, concessions may be available for sale. Typical concessions include water, soft drinks, popcorn and candy. Payment can be made by cash, Venmo or PayPal.
Can I watch a rehearsal?
No, all rehearsals are closed.
