Brad Thompson

Brad Thompson is an Economic Development specialist who currently works with the City of Martin as the Director of Economic and Community Development.

Brad serves on the Play Selection Subcommittee and has been a producer to several performances at the Capitol Theatre.

Brad is the past president of both the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Tennessee and the Union City Jaycees. He currently serves as a member of the West Tennessee Drug Court Steering Committee, and serves as a board member to Hope of Martin, St. Johns Community Services/CDS. Brad is also a member of Martin Rotary Club where he serves as Public Relations Officer.

Not only has Brad been active off the stage, but also he has been on the Capitol Theatre stage playing the roles of Issachar in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Kenickie in Grease, Rum Tum Tugger in Cats, and Rooster in Annie.

Brad earned his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Tennessee at Martin and his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Murray State University.

Brad is a native Obion Countian and is the son of Allyson Thompson and the late William Thompson, Jr. He currently resides in the Midway community.
